An incomplete copper-alloy Roman T-shape brooch dating from 50 - 150AD. Solid cast bow with wings rolled back at head to form hinged pin mechanism with slit for pin (missing). Bow tapers slightly towards round knob with flat bottom riveted onto the foot. The catchplate at the back of the brooch is well preserved. Narrow with no decoration, the brooch is 56.35mm at maximum length and 16.56mm at maximum width, with a thickness of 13.26mm. The weight is 6.67g. While not complete, the brooch is in good condition and the metal is a deep greenish-brown in colour.
