A fragment of medieval lead alloy tracery, probably from a window grille or ventilator, dating to c.1200-1500. It is semi-circular in shape, with old breaks at either end. Projecting to the inside edge are two-and-a-half semi-circular foils. This is probably just under half of its original shape, which was presumably circular. In total, the object measures 41.81mm wide, 21.41mm in height, 4.29mm in thickness and weighs 12.04g. The fragment probably dates to the Medieval period. A fragment of medieval lead alloy tracery, probably from a window grille or ventilator and dating to c. 1200-1500. In plan it is L-shaped with a mostly square cross-section surmounted on one face with a central rib U-shaped in cross-section. At the corner both arms are C-shaped in cross-section, being hollow to the face opposite to that surmounted by the rib. The breaks are old. It has a variable white/grey colour. A fragment of medieval lead alloy tracery, probably from a window grille or ventilator, dating to c.1200-1500. It is a triangular piece with old breaks and an L-shaped back 5.5mm thick. A diagonal rib at roughly two thirds of the distance from the corner along each line creates a 'filled-in' area c.1.5mm thick, with additions to both side of apparently sheet lead, up to the height of the L-shaped arm. A fragment of post-medieval silver whistle, consisting of a hollow tube decorated with relief interlaced circles creating lozenge shapes, each with a raised central square. At one end there is an elaborate collar of rope work passed between three coils of metal (probably cannetille). The fragment was originally thought to date from the fifteenth or early sixteenth century, but subsequent parallels with relief ornament and cannetille (e.g. LIN-403242 and SUR-07B392) have indicated a slightly later date, in the 16th or early 17th centuries.

An apparently complete, though with some damage, post-medieval silver "bosun's" whistle dating to the 17th century. It consist of a slightly tapering sheet tube with an applied transverse triple-rib at the centre, an elaborate openwork S-shaped handle below, and an egg-shaped hollow at the narrower end of the tube, also attached to the handle. An incomplete lead alloy whistle, perhaps for hunting, of early modern date (c.1800-1900) and cast in the form of a dog's head. The inside of the head is hollow. The curved edge of the sounding hole survives immediately behind the dog collar (similar can be seen on NMGW-159973) although the mouthpiece has been lost. A post-medieval silver fragment of a "bosun's" whistle, dating to c.1550-1700. It consists of the body or 'buoy', a cast hollow sub-spherical of sheet silver with an oval-shaped opening and a ridge running to either side of this and above. The opening measures 5.3x3.8mm and the ridge 2.6mm in thickness and 1.7mm in height. The ridge consists of a central rib flanked by a lower rib to either side and appears to seal together the two hemispheres of the body. It is otherwise undecorated. A complete post medieval 'hawking' whistle (c.1700-1850). Cast in a dark metal, likely a tin alloy, with casting seams evident on both sides of the whistle. Around the circumference above the mouthpiece is a small moulded line, with a pronounced moulded band above the sounding hole, before rising to a rounded end with a narrow projecting suspension piece with pieced hole. Several other examples of this form are on the PAS database, including LVPL-788365.

An incomplete and squashed post-medieval sheet silver whistle of perhaps 17th century date, missing a section of the mouthpiece and a larger section of the open end. The object has been constructed from two pieces of sheet silver. The first piece has been rolled to form a tapering cylinder and shaped to form a D-shaped mouthpiece. A slightly damaged sheet silver terminal from a post-medieval object, possibly a riding crop (whip) or umbrella (c. 18th century). The artefact has been squashed in places but retains its general form: a hollow cylindrical body (Dia.: c. 12.1mm) that expands to a bulbous terminal (Dia.: c. 20.0mm). A whetstone of Norwegian ragstone, late Saxon or medieval in date. The stone is sub-rectangular in cross-section with rounded corners. It tapers from the plain, flat end to an old break at the other end. Each side is slightly concave from wear. It measures 22.6mm by 20.1mm at the complete end, and 17.5mm by 11.1mm at the break. A very similar example was found in a 15th- to 16th-century pit in Winchester, but it may have been residual (Rees et al., 326-327; ref. 2441).

A seemingly complete whetstone of uncertain date. The object has a round suspension hole, 6.6mm in diameter, at one end. In plan, the object is sub oval with flat upper and lower edges. It measures 46mm in length, 28mm across the 'shoulders', 13mm across the straightened upper edge, and 18.6mm across the straight lower edge. A fragment of probable whetstone or hone of uncertain dating (from the Roman period onwards, c.AD 43 to 1800). It is cylindrical in shape with (broken) projections on two adjacent 'faces'; approximately one third of the cylinder shape is also missing. It measures 33.0mm in length, 34.6mm in diameter, 39.5mm in width, 34.5mm in thickness and weighs 48.86g. The stone is a fine grained sandstone with micaceous inclusions and a metallic black sheen to the outside edge.
