The coin has been struck over a previous nummus of Constantine II, probably a Gloria Exercitus issue of 330-340 AD. The obverse is struck over the earlier coin's reverse, and vice versa. The mint is uncertain.

A copper alloy Roman nummus coin probably of Constans (AD 333 - 350), Fel Temp Reparatio 'hut' type showing a soldier pulling a barbarian from a hut (AD 348 - 350). The mintmark is illegible. The coin has a diameter of 20.9mm and is 2.1mm thick. It weighs 3.7g. The obverse is very corroded but the reverse is in better condition. Though the mint cannot be identified, the coin is similar to numbers 28-31 in Late Roman Bronze Coinage. This coin was bought, but is believed to come from Lincoln.
