Copper alloy coin. Minim, nummus of the House of Constantine (306-361), probably an irregular Fallen Horseman issue of 355-361 on a thick small flan, Reece period 18. The reverse may include a diadem from a previously struck obverse, suggesting a reused flan.

Reverse description: soldier advancing left spearing fallen horseman [sort of]: a vertical spear points down towards a rosette, separated by a beaded vertical line from the lower part of a figure which seems to stand at right angles to the beaded line.

A copper alloy Roman coin; a contemporary copy of a nummus of Constantius II or Constans, dating from AD 348 - 350 (Reece Period 18). FEL TEMP REPARATIO, Emperor on galley left, holding phoenix or Victory. Mint unknown. The coin is much smaller than an official coin would be. Full size irons appear to have been used on a flan which is much too small. It is also possible that the coin is cut down from a full sized one.
Measurements are; diameter 10.1mm, thickness 1.3mm and weight 0.59g.

The coin is pierced at 11 o'clock. On the obverse, this places the hole just behind the Emperor's head. On the reverse, this places the hold directly above Victory's head at the rear of the boat.
