Roman silver denarius of Septimius Severus (AD 193-211), dating to AD 193-5 (Reece Period 10), BONI EVENTVS, Bonus Eventus standing left holding basket of fruit and corn ears. Eastern Mint. cf. RIC IV, pt I, p. 135, no.347, or p.137, no.352, or p.140, no.369. RIC (written in 1936) gives a specific mint attribution to Emesa or Laodicea, but this is now not commonly acknowledged. This is a good example of a scarce coin.
