An incomplete, plated silver contemporary copy of a Roman Republican denarius of the moneyer M. Vargunteius, dating to the period c.130 BC (Reece period 1). Reverse type depicting Jupiter in a quadriga holding thunderbolt and reins, ROMA in exergue. Copying a coin of the mint of Rome. As RRC, p. 283, no. 257/1.
The coin has a copper-alloy core and is 20.12mm diameter, 1.75mm in thickness, and 1.82g in weight.

A silver Roman coin; a Republican denarius of Q. Minucius Thermus, dating from 103 BC. Mint of Rome. Roman Republican Coinage, p. 324, no. 319/1.
Obv. No legend. Helmeted head of Mars left.
Rev. [Q] THERM [MF] in exergue. Roman soldier fighting barbarian soldier in protection of fallen comrade.
There is a crescent shaped stamp on Mars' neck, possibly a counterstamp.
The coin is 19.8mm diameter, 1.6mm thick and 3.12g.

A Roman republican coin, a copper As of L. Titurius Sabinus, dating to 89 BC (Reece Period 1). Obverse: Laureate head of Janus. Reverse: Prow right, Victory with wreath before, L TITVRI L F above, SABINVS below. Mint of Rome. RRC 344/4. The coin is 28.1mm diameter, 3.5mm thick and 9.16g. The reverse is slightly dished and the edge is chipped.
