Visible conchoidal fracture (ripple marks) radiating out from the bulb of percussion. Fairly prominent bulb of percussion indicating a hard hammer (made of stone). A piece of flint debitage of probable Mesolithic to Neolithic date, 9000 - 2200 BC. It is sub-rectangular in shape with a sub-triangular cross-section. The dorsal surface contains three predominant negative scars. It has a rounded distal end and the proximal end comes to a narrow sub-trapezoidal point. There is some modern damage on the distal end and on the left side. There is no retouch, and the ventral face shows faint conchoidal ripples. An elongated flint flake. No striking platform is visible at the proximal end, but clear ripples are visible on the ventral surface, extending to a hinge fracture. The dorsal surface comprises two unidirectional parallel scars, with a third running at an angle at the proximal end. A small patch of possible short, scaled, low angled retouch.
