Silver denarius of Carausius (AD 286-93) (Reece Period 14), EXPECTA[TE VE]N(I), Britannia standing right, holding vertical sceptre, clasping hands of emperor, standing left, holding vertical sceptre. Mintmark - // (RSR).  There are possibly punctuation marks with the RSR mark. The coin is unusual style but is probably an official issue.  It is the ninth example of this coin which the author has recorded. The diameter is 18.8mm, the thickness is 1.2mm, weight is 3.0g

Copper alloy radiate of Carausius (AD 286-93), probably [VBER]ETA (AV), Cow standing right being milked by milkmaid. Mintmark - // (RSR). RIC V, pt 2 -. Although not listed in RIC, this appears to be the seventh example of this coin recorded in Sam Moorhead's corpus for the new RIC, one of which is in the Ashmolaen Museum, Oxford; RSR radiates are scarce and are rarely well-preserved. It has been argued that RSR coins were struck at the London Mint, but this is yet to be determined. Weight 2.80g; Diameter 17.8-18.6mm. Identified from image kindly supplied by the Finder.

RIC - This is an unpublished coin which conflates the attributes of Jupiter (thunderbolt) and Neptune (trident). Another coin with the same reverse (die-linked) has also been recorded on the PAS Database - ESS-133F68 - but with a different obverse - IMP C CARAVSIVS P AVG, Radiate bust left in consular robes.
