An incomplete cast copper-alloy Post-Medieval crotal or rumbler bell of probable 17th - 18th century date.
Description: The bell comprises two hemispherical domes divided horizontally by a circumferential ridge. The upper hemisphere has two circular, drilled sound holes. A relatively large suspension loop projects from the apex of the upper dome with integrally cast hole. The lower hemisphere has a long, wide sound slit with circular holes at the ends. A Medieval cast copper-alloy single loop buckle frame of Meols type 1, dating to c.1250-1500.
Sub-oval in plan, moulded convex on both sides. The enlarged outside edge is decorated with five transverse ridges, with curved sides and a narrowed and offset bar, now missing the pin. The surface displays a dark green patina with reddish oxidation staining to the bar.
Width 17.2mm, length 15.6mm, thickness 4mm, weight 2.2g.

Sub-square in plan with tapered sides. The obverse has a crude moulded depiction of a facing bust with long hair 'curled up' at neck level. The reverse is plain, with a slightly raised border. The surface has many dents and gouges and displays a light buff colour.

The brooch has an annular frame with a circular cross-section and a constriction for the pin. The pin is missing and frame undecorated. Parallels a plain annular frame in Egan 1991, p. 249. no. 1307.

Star initial marks on both sides. Obverse: a shield bearing the Grocers' Arms - with an inscription: IOHN • FORMAN • Reverse: a bust set in a bouquet of flowers - with an inscription: IN • ELHAM • 1664 •
Diameter 15.1mm, thickness 0.7mm, weight 0.7g.
No similar examples, but from genealogy, John Forman, a grocer of Elham married in 1668.

A Belgian Post-Medieval Antwerp issued copper-alloy square bi-face 6.4g coin-weight to weigh the gold noble coin, probably dating to the later 16th century.
Sub-square with bevelled sides. The obverse depicts a stylised ship with the letter 'H' to top left (Withers 2011: p.25) all within a circular pelleted border. The reverse has the hand of Antwerp in the centre with the initial letters A / I flanking (an unknown maker - Withers 2011:p.71) all within a circular border of stars. The surface is slightly corroded with a dark green/brown patina.

An 18th century lead bulla type cloth or flax bale seal of uncertain origin (possibly Russian).
Sub-circular and flat with an elongated piercing horizontal to the face. The obverse depicts a double headed eagle (displayed) with an orb in right claw. An uncertain incomplete inscription above appears to read : NK / TEPEV17 with the figures 8 - 6 to either side above the heads, all in three lines. The reverse is plain.

The buckle is D-shaped with a narrowed and offset strap bar. The main shaft of the pin is missing but the pin remains and is looped round the bar.

Obverse: GEORG SCHVLTES IN NVRBERG; three crowns alternating with three lis, arranged centrifugally around a central rose
Reverse: Unsure of inscription; Imperial orb surmounted by cross within a three-arched tressure.
The jetton has suffered a bend over a quarter of its area and has a nice even patina.
Measurements: 24 mm in diameter, 1 mm in thickness and 1.3 g in weight.
