A Medieval Iron axehead, dating to c.AD 1000 - 1500.  The axehead has a triangular or 'wedge'- shaped blade with a slight curve to the cutting edge; it projects downwards more than it projects upwards from the central body of the axe. The socket is filled with corrosion but is triangular in shape with a triangular wing surviving on one side, extending downwards.  When viewed from the rear, the butt of the axe appears rectangular. A heavily corroded fragment of a Roman copper-alloy Wroxeter type, bow brooch dating to c.AD 75-175. Comprising of just the sub-oval head-plate and the top of the bow. The head-plate has possible linear decoration on the face, a break at the top and on the reverse a raised transverse ridge across the base. The curved bow has a D-shaped cross-section, being flat on the reverse, with two longitudinal grooves on the face down to a break. A cast copper alloy, possibly tinned, double loop spectacle buckle of c.AD 1550-1650. The pin is missing and was likely to be iron. At either tapered end can be seen 4 decorative groove lines. The reverse is blank. A somewhat similar example can be seen in Whitehead (2003) No.367 and see an identical associated example at PUBLIC-8C9071.

An incomplete late Medieval cast copper-alloy casket key probably dating to c.1200-1500. Just the bit and the end of the pointed shaft remains. The shaft is oval in cross-section tapering down to a protruding 6.5mm  point. The integral bit is sub rectangular with clefts on either side. The surface displays a dark green patina. An incomplete late Medieval cast copper-alloy annular buckle pin dating to c.AD 1270-1400. A rectangular cross-section pin, tapering to a blunt point at one end and an incomplete connecting loop at the other. Adjacent to the connecting loop, on the upper surface, is a rectangular projection incorporating a ridged finger grip. The surface displays a patchy green patina. A Post Medieval copper-alloy French square 3.2g coin-weight issued during the reign of Henry II of France, dating to c.1547-59. Sub-square and flat, chamfered on both sides forming an angled profile. The obverse is struck off-centre, bearing a cruciform of four 'crowned letter H's' with lis in the angles and a small cross in the centre. The reverse depicts the Roman numerals XX / II in two lines. Used to check the Henri d'or of four H's type. Probably struck at Lyons and should have weighed 3.5g. Sub-square 13mm x 11.6mm, thickness 3.1mm, weight 3.2g.
