An incomplete Middle Iron Age copper alloy brooch of La Tène I and of Hull & Hawkes (1987: 95-106) type 1Ba, dating to the 4th or 3rd century BC. The one-piece brooch is missing both its spring and its pin. The arched bow is D-shaped in section, being flat on the back and convex on the front. A complete Late Iron Age to Early Roman period copper alloy skirted terret, dating to c 50BC - AD 200. It is made up of a stout oval cross section ring, now a little distorted, integral to a collar and short neck with a flange below - the skirt -  which flares outwards and down, partly covering an oval loop on the underside. The upper ring shows action from the reins, very much thinner on one side, particularly the lower quarter, than the other. A possible late Bronze Age/Iron Age flint hammerstone dating to c 1000-1BC.  The hammerstone comprises a flint nodule which has the cotex retained at the bottom as the hammer area.  The sides have flaked to create a comfortable position to hold the stone.  The top has been roughly shaped and may also have been used for hammering.
