A complete copper alloy cast palstave with side loop  and lozenge-shaped flanges. The object has a flared blade with a sub- triangular-shaped depression (on front and back) and a worn central mid-rib below the stop-ridge.   The cutting edge is crescentic and relatively unworn; the blade bevels are well formed and the tips of the blade show little sign of wear or resharpening. On the upper blade on both the front and reverse faces is a cast / moulded indented shield-shape pattern.  The loop is relatively small and low. The two slide flanges are well cast and …

A heavily worn and incomplete Bronze Age palstave axe head. Extensive surface loss has occurred along the edges and surfaces of the find, giving the axe and thin irregular form. The butt end is sub-square, and is slightly more truncated to one side. From the butt, the sides flare slightly. The side flanges are missing; however, the stop ridge is still prominently visible, especially on one side. From the stop ridge, the blade tapers slightly (due to surface loss) before flaring marginally to the cutting edge which is heavily truncated and rounded. A partial rib is visible on one face…

A near-complete possible Bronze Age to Roman cast copper alloy miniature object, an axehead, c.1900 BC-AD 100. The object is axehead-shaped; sub-triangular with the corners of the widest end (possibly the axe cutting edge) reduced to a curve, with the opposite end terminating in an old break. The form is reminiscent of a miniature early Bronze Age flat axe. The corrosion and patination with the dark green colour suggests an early date. However, the wear makes it impossible to be certain that the edges are not broken, so it could be an undiagnostic fragment of a larger incomp…
