Pottery rim sherd with bevelled everted rim, decorated with fine comb-impressed dashed lines in bands of six, delineated by a plain band between. The core of the sherd has been oxidised to a light brown colour and the exterior and interior surfaces to a more orangey-brown colour. The exterior surface has been sooted and still has carbonised remains extant. Two small pottery body sherds made of gabbroic clay, probably from a vessel dating from early to middle Bronze Age, c. 1800-1100 BC. Gabbroic clay weathers over the gabbro outcrop on the Lizard in Cornwall. The fabric has inclusions of pale felspars and dark augite, but is also an admixture with large inclusions of other materials such as quartz which are not natural to the gabbro clay. A thick, plain wall sherd from a large urn of approximately 0.3-0.4 metres diameter. The exterior is complete and has a smooth finish with only a few fine grits showing but a developed network of fine surface cracks.The orangey red oxidised colour extends about half-way through the fabric which then remains dark grey brown to the interior surface. A quite thick, decorated wall sherd from a large urn of approximately 0.3 metres diameter. The exterior is damaged from being exposed to rain and frost in the plough soil. It would have had a smooth finish with only a few fine grits showing in order for the herringbone pattern of plaited cords to be impressed. Below the rim is a horizontal row of circular dimples and one incised finger-nail impression in an arc above one dimple.
