A complete piece of gold ribbon or bracelet possibly dating to the Bronze Age, 2350BC to 800 BC. The ribbon is a long thin strip of a gold, which has been folded three times over itself, and terminates at either end with a rounded edge. The surface of the ribbon has been scratched. There is no decoration visible. The ribbon is a yellow gold colour, and measures 76.1mm in length, 7.3mm in width, 0.6mm in thickness, and weighs 4.23g.

Metal composition: Non-destructive X-ray fluorescence analysis of the fragment indicated a surface composition of approximately 88-89% gold, 11 % silver, and at least 0.5% copper.

Two middle Bronze Age ribbon torcs.
Description
1. A gold ribbon torc with hooks at both ends which has been folded and bent in eight places. A narrow thicker section of un-hammered wire has been left in the centre of the torc and at both ends. The latter narrow lengths have been folded back on themselves to form the simple hook fasteners. The surfaces are smooth and the colour a shiny light gold.
