TREASURE CASE 2016 T662. A distorted annular gold hoop of Bronze Age or Iron Age date. The hoop is formed of cylindrical band of sheet metal that is flat in cross section and with no joins apparent. The band has been folded longitudinally to create a central ridge but the whole object is now bent and distorted. There is no decoration on either side of the band. The neckring is made from a heavy, thick bar of oval cross-section, which is thickest in the middle and tapers towards both ends. The terminals are finished off as flat oval surfaces. The object appears to have had a good surface finish prior to damage and it has been left entirely plain. The original curvature of the ornament has been distorted asymmetrically so that one arm is more extended than the other.
