A cast copper-alloy bag shaped chape dating to the late Bronze Age. The chape has an oval opening, concave sides, a rounded bottom, and a perforation in each face. There are also two irregular perforations in the bottom, most likely resulting from ancient damage. The surface is smooth, with no decoration. Chape is 18.4mm in height and 26.3mm at its widest point. The mouth of the chape is 21.2mm wide x 9.2mm thick, the internal measurements are 18mm x 6.3mm. A slightly corroded, damaged cast copper-alloy Late Bronze Age 'bag-shaped' dagger scabbard chape. The object has a rounded end, slightly flattened at the base perhaps through wear. The attachment end has suffered some losses but is broadly U-shaped after a removal, with a raised border. On each side are three punched ring-and-dot motifs in an arc aligned with the attachment end. These bear internal concentric rings as part of the production process.
