Object type: SADDLE QUERN
Broad period: BRONZE AGE
County: Powys
Workflow stage: Awaiting validation
A broken slab of stone with a large dished area worn in the top of one of the flat faces creating a gentle U-shaped profile. Probably the broken base stone of a saddle quern. Found eroding from spoil excavated from a silted-up pond. Possibly prehistoric in date but of such simple technology that it could date from virtually any later era.
