Circumstances of Discovery: Hoard found during metal detecting 'on stubble', the top of the deposit recorded as being -38cm, and the bottom -50cm. All artefacts found at the above grid reference, however two groups of fragments were found in the 'general area' (Nos. 36-37, below). Description: A hoard of 37 copper alloy objects found during the course of metal detecting. It is likely that this assemblage was disturbed before it was discovered as two fragments were found separate from the others, this also raises the possibility that these artefacts are part of a larger disturbed …

Late Bronze Age hoard described by the finder as being found in an area 'the size of a table top'. Although the patination (darker green with little or no corrosion) and breaks of objects Nos. 1 - 3 are very similar, they do not re-fit. 1. A fragment from the mouth of a Late Bronze Age socketed axe head with a shallow and not well defined moulding at the rim and broken across a second shallow moulding. The breaks are irregular and unabraded but not recent. Now separate, but within socket of another axe (No. 4) when found. It has not been possible to assign the axe to a typological …

A Late Bronze Age hoard consisting of 17 objects or fragments of objects discovered during metal-detecting in an area "8 paces by 10 paces" in plough soil. None of the fragments join and none seem likely to be parts of the same object. It is highly likely that two socketed axe heads previously recorded from the same area in 1988 and 1955 also formed part of this hoard, and also possible that a palstave axe head found in the same area in 1969 formed part of the original deposit. All the aforementioned finds are recorded on Norfolk County Council Historic Environment Record (No. 24951).…
