Late Bronze Age Founder's hoard, contemporary with the Ewart Park and Carp's Tongue traditions, and with two fragments of Gundlingen sword hilts (one Type B and one Type C). The hoard comprises 82 pieces in all, including 9 complete gouges, 2 complete socketed axeheads, 8 complete spearheads, fragmentary pieces of all of these plus many fragments of sword (including Carp's Tongue), knives, 2 bag-shaped chapes, part of an axe mould, a fragment of winged axe, 3 casting sprues, 3 lumps of cake and many odd fragments.

Description: A small late Bronze Age hoard consisting of a bronze spearhead, two joining short sword blade fragments and a possible chisel terminal fragment. 1: A pegged bronze spearhead, almost complete with the end of the tip missing and part of the socket mouth missing, the tip break appears ancient but the socket break seems more recent as there is a fresh scar along its edge. Eleven bronze objects were discovered by the finder on 4th January 2006 using a metal detector on arable land. These objects (catalogue nos. 48-58) were removed by the finder and the landowner, but other visible objects were left in situ. In 1984 a Founders Hoard of late Bronze Age metal work was unearthed. The Hoard consisted of eight objects.
