Copper Alloy Late Bronze Age socketed gouge. The gouge has a circular mouth (17mm outside diameter) and single raised flanged collar at the opening. In plan it tapers over the majority of its 84.5mm length but flares out in the final 15mm to form a C-shaped cross-section cutting edge. The cutting edge extends back in a V-shaped flute to restore the full circular section around 12mm short of the mouth of the gouge.
