Copper-alloy spike with curved tip and lozengiform cross-section, probably from a Late Bronze Age 'flesh-hook'. The spike tapers smoothly from 8.8 mm wide and 5.5 mm thick at the old and worn break, to a sharp tip. The unbent length is c. 105 mm, length as bent is 83 mm, height of hook from the horizontal is 38 mm. The curve begins at about 50 mm below the break, and appears to be original, having caused no stress to the metal.
