A copper alloy casting jet or casting gate with four projecting runners, from a mould for a late Bronze Age socketed axehead. The upper surface is rough and slanted and the margins are uneven. There are four short spikes / runners projecting from the convex underside; these have lenticular to sub rectangular cross section and are arranged in a rectangle. A cast copper alloy casting jet or "gate" with two stumps of sprues of possible Late Bronze Age date. The jet is made of a sub-triangular body from one side of which are two projecting sprues placed on opposite edges of the body. The sprues are sub-circular in cross section and conical in shape. Mid to Late Bronze Age casting gate or jets.The object consists of two conical sprues or flashes with a casting well that is a figure '8' in plan. Bronze Age - Roman period (c. 1500 BC - 450 AD) casting waste: An incomplete piece of copper alloy (bronze) casting waste which is a fragment from the neck (funnel / well) of a composite probably two-part mould.
