Penannular, hollow gold bracelet, originally of circular or near-circular cross-section (now distorted); the body expands very slightly at the one extant terminal (the other is missing). The terminal has a cap which was made separately. The piece was made from thick gold sheet rolled into a tube; the long edges might originally have been neatly butted (slightly overlapping at the terminals) but have now parted in places, and overlap in others where the bracelet has been crushed.

A cast copper alloy fragment of a bracelet dating to the Bronze Age period. The object is oval in cross-section and is undecorated apart from the terminal. The object has been broken and folded over on itself. The terminal has moulded decoration consisting of a horizontal âTâ shape. The object has an incomplete well developed shiny brown patina. The object measures 23.59mm in length, 17.48mm in width, is 4.99mm thick and weighs 6.1g. A similar object which can be found on the database is WAW-37E4B7.

Gold bronze age bracelet
Description
Fragment of one end of a hollow gold bracelet; the terminal has a cap which was made separately. The piece was made from thick sheet gold rolled into a tube, now crushed.
The piece appears to be the missing end of a bracelet reported earlier (2006 T34; see analysis results) and published in Treasure Annual Report 2005/6 (pp 19, Fig. 11). This was suggested to be of possible Middle to Later Bronze Age date, from circa 1300BC, although it is unusual in being hollow.
