Basalt bead dating from the Bronze Age to the Roman period. It is oval in plan and in cross-section. A circular perforation runs through the length of the object. It is narrow at one end, 3.83mm, and much wider at the other,6.82mm. The bead is decorated with incised lines which run around the object horizontally. It has a flat bottom and a slightly raised oval at the top. It has a smooth black patina.
