Description: An incomplete copper alloy spearhead and knife. The spearhead has smooth, elliptical blade edges with concave upper blade edges. A mid-rib tapers and extends from the socket to the blade tip. The socketed end is circular in section and the void is hollow. Two side loops remain in situ roughly half-way up the socket on opposing sides. The loop plates are diamond-shaped and both are complete. The blade wings are slightly chipped as is the opening of the socket, otherwise the spearhead is intact. The object has a mottled greenish-brown patina with signs of iron staining acros…

An assemblage of 3 late neolithic or bronze age flint implements. 1) A buff coloured flint knife / scraper, triangular in shape and cross section, from a secondary flake, possibly Bronze Age. There are conchoidal ripple marks on the dorsal surface. The striking platform and bulb of percussion appear to have been removed during working or by subsequent damage as the proximal point has three flakes removed from it. There are areas of retouching around one of the points, 10mm to one edge and 22mm to the other. Retouching is scaled ranging from abrupt to low angle approaching the…

An assemblage of 8 flint implements of Later Prehistoric date. They have a combined total weight of 90.11g. 1) 2 lightly patinated long flakes with limited unpatinated edge retouch. 1 also has a recessed notch. They have a combined total weight of 23.11g. 2) 6 squat flakes with limited edge retouch. 3 also have recessed notches. Probably Bronze Age - Iron Age in date. They have a combined total weight of 67.00g. The assemblage appears to be consistent of Bronze Age - Iron Age in date. However, there is a clear presence of earlier flint, which may have been picked up and reused.
