A complete copper alloy probable medieval swivelling strap fitting. The object consists of a circular cross-sectioned hoop with a oval section projecting from one side. There is a circular hole, c.7mm at its widest point, through the centre of the oval section. The circular hole is faceted on both faces, suggesting that a moveable component was attached here originally. The cross-section of the hoop would also be unusual for a finger ring, suggesting a more practical function. A cast lead alloy Medieval button dating to c.AD 1300-1550. This button has a slightly bent profile and a wide diameter, with two central holes set in a circular recess. These are now filled with soil. This artefact has a few surface marks and an even grey surface patina. The button is 24.29mm in diameter, 3.02mm thick and weighs 12.07 grams. An incomplete lead Papal bulla probably of Pope Nicholas III (1277-80). It has been folded and broken post-deposition, neither the reverse or obverse are entirely clear. A complete Post Medieval lead palm guard, c.AD 1600-1900. The palm guard is broadly oval in plan and D-shaped cross section; all the edges are uneven. The obverse face is slightly convex and has the in-print of woven cloth, possibly from where is pressed against the users glove, and in centre is a slight circular depression of the type commonly found on the surface of palm guards. A small, copper alloy model of a quadruped with a long tail, possibly a lioness, leopard or similar. It is missing most of its very thin legs.
