An incomplete copper-alloy military belt plate of Roman date, c.AD. 150 – 300. The object comprises two ovate panels joined by a narrowed integral D-shape sectioned shaft. A similar shaft extends from the opposite edge of each panel, one terminating is a transverse ridge, the other in a worn break. The panels have raised edges creating recessed cells which retain blue enamel. The reverse is flat and undecorated. The metal has a mid-green patina and is worn. A 19th century iron shoe patten.  The object consists of an oval shaped body, with fixtures that project on either side. One extends upwards before bending at a right angle, followed by a circular plate with a nail affixed to it, and a final rectangular lug extending outward and terminating in a break. The other side has a similar attachment, but the plate is trapezoidal in shape and has two nails. The object has an abundance of rust. An incomplete early post medieval copper alloy sharp hooked clasp, (Read class E type 3) dating between AD 1500-1550 The plate is circular in plan and D-shaped in cross-section, with a rectangular attachment loop.
