A Roman silver coin: a denarius of Trajan dating from AD103 - 111 (Reece Period 5), the reverse legend reading COS V P P SPQR OPTIMO PRINC, the reverse type Victory, standing, facing left, holding wreath and palm. The mint is Rome. There is a small chip from one edge of the flan. The coin is 17.7mm in diameter and 2mm thick. It weighs 2.36gm.
