An incomplete copper alloy palstave dating to the middle Bronze Age period (c. 1500-1300 BC). The axehead consists of the lower blade and cutting edge. The object has a sub-triangular section that narrows to the cutting edge. The cutting edge is slight convex and has a width of 37.4mm. The edge is worn and abraded. Silver strap end. A small cast rectangular box chape with a flat lug at its outer end and a rectangular field with the letter S in Gothic style viewed against a crudely cross-hatched ground on its display side – the ground having been executed as embellishment of the cast letter. The back plate is plain. A rivet of diameter 3mm and length 4.3mm passes through the box and attaches it to a textile strap which remains preserved within the chape and is now of a dull buff tint. A complete pair of copper-alloy tweezers dating from Roman to Medieval in date, circa AD 43 - 1500. The tweezers are enclosed around a solid mass of iron corrosion.  The tweezers are made from a single strip of copper alloy, folded over. Both arms of the tweezers are broadly parallel with one arm being flat and the other with a curve towards the other arm. The end terminals are blunt.
