This narrow bore suggests a late 18th to 19th century date. An incomplete tobacco pipe, dating from the second half of the 19th century AD, moulded into the form of a Turk's head, with drooping moustache and a cylindrical Ottoman style hat. The neck is sharply angled to emerge from moulded leaves and a rounded collar at the socket (19.2mm diameter) connecting to a separate stem, which has been lost. The bowl is incomplete but was around 29mm in diameter.

A bowl from a moulded clay tobacco pipe, of later 17th century date. The bowl has convex sides, a bottered rim, 11.2mm in internal diameter and is undecorated. There is a large flat heel carrying the maker's mark of WO within a heart shaped escutcheon with three small stars, two above and one below the letters (second image). This mark is associated with William Oram of Winchester, c. 1680.

It comprises most of the bowl of the pipe, with a small section of the rim missing.There is a spur, but the stem is missing. It is made from clay that has discoloured to tan in places, perhaps from an iron rich soil. There are few visible inclusions, so it is probably imported ball clay. The rim is cut. A fragment of a Post Medieval clay pipe spur and stem dating from about AD 1700 - 1900. It is made of white ball clay imported from the Devon or Cornwall. There are smooth facets on the stem where it has been burnished. The stem bore is 5/64". The spur is marked with a letter "O" in moulded relief on both sides. Measurements are; length 21.2mm, width 15.1mm, thickness 8.1mm and weight 2.0g.

The bowl is oval and curves upwards, it is not made with a heel and presents no decoration. The stem protrudes from the base and terminates in a worn break. Dimensions: Length 49.4mm; bowl diameter 19.7mm; stem diameter 6.9mm; weight 6.12g The form of the bowl fits within Atkinson and Oswald (1969) type 30 which is dated to 1850-1910.

An incomplete post medieval clay pipe (smoking) dating to the early 19th century (c.AD 1820-60). The object consists of an incomplete bowl and the beginnings of the stem. The bowl is oval and curves upwards, it presents decoration along the mould seam in the form of repeating leaves on each side. At the base of the bowl is narrow heel and the stem protrudes from the base and terminates in a worn break. Dimensions: Length 35.8mm; bowl diameter 16mm; weight 3.57g The form of the bowl fits within Atkinson and Oswald (1969) type 28 which is dated to 1820-60.

Two clay pipes of 18th century date, with flared bowls with cut rims 21.2mm in width and 44.9mm in height from spur to rim. The bowls are decorated with vertical ribs alternating with rows of pellets which also curve up and over the ends of the ribs around the rim. The heels have small spurs with maker's initials MB on the sides suggesting an attribution to Moses Baker, who took his freedom in 1762 and died in 1794 (Higgins 1981, 239).  The stem on the surviving example is around 6.6mm in diameter with a small off centre stem bore around 1.8mm in diameter.&…

The bowl is undecorated, and flares to a rim with a cut finish which is 19.6mm in width. The spur, which juts forward slightly, has maker's initials SL on the sides. The stem is around 7mm in diameter. The only other pipe recorded from Surrey with the initials SL has leaf decorated seams but was also found in Guildford (Higgins 1981, 231).
