A fragment from a Mediaeval lead alloy pilgrim badge probably of the Head Reliquary of Thomas Becket dating to the 14th century.  This fragment only depicts the mitre of the saint and part of his forehead and eyes. In this form it is broadly a pointed oval. On the upper surface is raised decoration. This includes a mitre which is a pointed oval form with a beaded border and divided into two sections by a lateral beaded line which itself is flanked on either side by a shorter beaded line of c. 4 pellets. Silver gilt pilgrim badge. A circular plate bearing the framed image of the Virgin and Child, the Virgin crowned and with sceptre and the Child haloed, viewed against a cross-hatched ground within a cabled inner border, a gutter, and an outer frame which is externally lined. A probably integrally cast D-section bar passes behind the image and across its flat plain back and is broken at the site of a sharp curve. Gilded overall, chipped. A cast copper-alloy pilgrim badge dating to the late medieval period (c. AD 1400-1500). The badge depicts a nimbed and draped Saint Barbara with a tower to the left. She is depicted holding an open book, sacramental wafer or perhaps chalice in her left hand and a palm frond in her right hand, symbolic of martydom. A fragment of a lead alloy Pilgrim Badge of Medieval date (AD 1450-1550). The badge would probably have originally formed a circular disc, with raised decoration on the face. The decoration probably depicted St George riding a horse to the left, lancing a dragon below the horse or the drapery of the Virgin and Child. Running round the edge of the disc is a triple border of pellets. No attachments are retained on the back of the fragment. An incomplete copper-alloy pilgrim badge of medieval date (c.AD 1500-1550). The object when complete would have been octagonal with concave edges, however only four of these concave edges remain, comprising roughly half of the object. The reverse if undecorated with a central oval shaped stud with the letters IL on its face. The obverse has a linear border that follows the outer edge of the object, set roughly 1.3mm from the outside edge. Lead alloy pilgrim-badge. It depicts a robed figure, seated, holding a lamb - the Lamb of God. The figure may be on a boat although this is not certain, and is likely to represent St John the Baptist. A Medieval pilgrim badge in the form of a ringed cross dating from AD 1400-1550. The bage represents the 'Five Wounds' of Christ. The badge consists of a ringed cross, pelleted border with five plane roundels, one at the centre and one at each terminal of the cross. It is copper-alloy, likely a late post-Medieval pilgrim badge, although it could be simply a religious attachment for a horse's bridle/saddle. It has a dark green-grey patina.
