Copper alloy object fragment, probably a measuring device to inscribe circles. A cast rectangular section bar with an expanded flat-sided lathe-finished circular terminal, and apparently bifurcated towards its other end, one 'arm' straight but broken and the other one bent. The terminal recalls either domestic equipment such as nutcrackers or technical gear such as folding rulers and calipers, especially those with turning elements, though none such appear here. A fragment of a Post Medieval wood and copper alloy hinge from a wooden folding measure dating to the 16th - 17th century. One side of the hinge is broken and missing and the other half is still attached to one end of the wooden measure. The hinge consists of three copper alloy plates; two close together and the third set further apart. These plates fit into slots in the wood and two rivets are fitted through the side of the wood and the plates holding them in place.
