A sherd of a ceramic gaming board of the Roman period, dating c. AD 122-410. The sherd is sub-rectangular in plan and sub-triangular in section, forming the side or edge of the upper face, made in a rough and gritty grey fabric. I simple incised line is visible on the upper face of the sherd, which probably formed the outer border of the gaming grid.
