A cast copper alloy livery button. The face depicts a bull's head erased engorged of a ducal coronet, with a Tudor rose to the left and a portcullis to the right. The reverse has a stump for a loop shank with the maker's mark FIRMIN & WESTALL which dates the button to 1794-1811.

An incomplete Post Medieval lead alloy (pewter) military button of the 3rd Foot Guards "Scots Guards" dating from AD1775-1800. This is an enlisted man's cast 1-piece button. The front of the button has the Order of the Thistle. 3 and G with a thistle between, within a cross with points in angles made up of different length radiating lines. Copper alloy button. Uniform button, discoid and slightly concavo-convex but of unfamiliar style to this reporter. A central motif depicts the upper half of a facing figure with wild hair and a short-sleeved garment with its right arm raised, indeterminate objects lie to lower left. An inner circle separates the motif from a three-word circumferential legend: COUNTY FIRE OFFICE – the central word is less clear than the others. A drawn wire loop is brazed to the plain back. A cast lead alloy Medieval button dating to c.AD 1300-1550. This button has a slightly bent profile and a wide diameter, with two central holes set in a circular recess. These are now filled with soil. This artefact has a few surface marks and an even grey surface patina. The button is 24.29mm in diameter, 3.02mm thick and weighs 12.07 grams. A complete copper alloy Button of Modern date (AD 1900-1975). The object is composed of a circular disc, with a convex upper and concave underside, and an integral rectangular loop at the centre of the underside.
