An incomplete copper-alloy button of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1600 - 1750. The button is discoidal and flat. The upper surface is decorated with a central ring and dot design from which four equidistant arms comprised of zig-zags extend. The space between the arms has leaf motifs formed of incised lines. The reverse displays a scar from an integral shanks which is lost to a worn break. The metal has a dark green/grey patina and is worn. The button is 16.7mm in diameter, 2.7mm thick and weighs 2.8g. The mount comprises a sub-rectangular plate, broken along one long and one short edge. a partial possible rivet/attachment hole is present to one corner. The upper surface of the plate is decorated with an incised cross saltire set on a transverse groove. The reverse is flat and undecorated. The metal has a mid-green patina and is worn. The object is 14.2mm long, 10.2mm wide, 1.7mm thick and weighs 0.9g.

The fitting comprises an openwork, pointed ovate frame with integral semicircular loop to the reverse. The frame has pointed terminals at the tips of the oval with a ridge running between them. A silver medieval cut halfpenny attributed to the baronial coinage of William of Aumale, Earl of York, produced during the reign of Stephen (1135-1154) and dating to c.
