Two small fragments of handmade roof tile, with prominent striking off marks on the upper surfaces as formed, the lower surfaces being flat and smooth. The thicker fragment might be Roman but thick roof tiles, bricks and floor tiles were equally made at later dates, and the fabric and upper surface marks are very similar to that of the smaller fragment whose thickness is a good match for that of a Medieval roof tile.
