Pecked stone ball of a size apt to be fired by the smaller version of the Minion, which was one of the smaller guns mounted on wheeled carriages to support troops in the field. Stone shot was an early projectile derived from the similar balls made to be lobbed by catapult artillery. It would later be superseded by cast iron shot.
