A cast lead fish, probably a pendant or fishing lure of post-medieval to modern date c. AD 1800-1900. A naturalistically cast modelled fish, with a long dorsal fin and smaller pelvic fin represented together with a forked tail. Moulded detail overall includes scales, pectoral fins and large worn eyes. A drawn wire [diameter 4.55 mm] loop is inserted at the tail end for suspension, with corrosion around the mouth suggesting it passed through the body. Shiny silver patina. An incomplete post medieval lead alloy button dating c. AD 1600-1750. The button is circular in plan with a sub-triangular cross section. The upper face of the button is discoidal with a flat reverse. The decoration on the face is distorted by corrosion. The attachment loop is incomplete and broken, all that remains is a semi-circular projection which is sub-rectangular in cross-section. The object has a reddish-brown patina with patche sof creamy white.  Dimensions: diameter: 14.16 mm, thickness (button top): 5.50 mm, weight: 2.27g

A lead post-medieval to modern button (AD 1600-1800) The button is discoidal with a flat decorated side and a slightly convex reverse. The decorated side has an unclear bust facing right surrounded by a lightly raised twisted-rope border. The reverse has the remains of the shank.  The object measures 16.13 mm in diameter, 3.57 mm thick and weighs 2.90g.

Fragments of a cast pewter candle night stick, typical of the 19th century style, dating to c.AD 1800 – 1900. Six fragments were recovered from the same area and are thought to have originally made up one object, consisting of: Two thickened rim pieces. The largest piece has a gently curved at the rim, before flattening to form a fragment from a shallow base, probably circular tray or decorative element. A lead alloy or pewter flanged dish of probable late Roman date. Description The dish is fragmented but is nearly a complete vessel. The plate has a circular base with a short wall which runs vertical from the base at an angle of approximately 80 degrees. The rim is horizontal, flat, and is turned downwards and folded onto the underside thus forming a shallow facet around the perimeter. Cast lead alloy pendant of unknown date with an integrally cast suspension loop. It is rounded lozenge-shaped with sides angling down to a point at the bottom, and sides steeply angling upwards to the loop. The loop has a central drilled hole 3.2mm wide at the front narrowing to 2.2mm at the rear. It is slightly bent, and both faces are undecorated except for a Y-shaped indentation and a couple of very faint crossing scratched lines on the front. Length 31.4mm, width 24mm, thickness 3.8mm, weight 15g. Vaguely similar to ESS-030944.

A pair of Post-medieval lead shot with two distinct spheres dating to c.AD 1600-1800. Two spherical conjoined shots with sprue removed and a short waisted lead-alloy middle section. Flattened bands on both shots indicating impact damage.The two shots might have fused during impact when the weapon was fired with two separate bullets. A decorative lead alloy lid handle dating from post-medieval to modern. This may be the lid from a post-medieval to early modern tobacco jar, metal tea-pot or other vessel. The handle is sub-oval with a central bordered circular knop surrounded by eight radiating lentoid petals. From the bottom there protrudes a shank, circular in section, for attaching the handle to the lid which is collared and flared at the end for attachment.
