The terminal end projects from the side at angle and is broadly tri-lobed with a circular perforation in each lobe. Both faces are undecorated and have a dark green patina. A mostly complete copper alloy buckle dating to the post medieval period (c.AD 1660-1720). The buckle is trapezoidal in form with concave sides and rounded ends; the spindle is attached separately. Both ends present two moulded traverse grooves and a moulded be-fold crescent at each end of the spindle. The chape and pin are missing from the spindle. The reverse is undecorated and is slightly concave. The buckle has a smooth dark green patina.
