An incomplete copper alloy Roman headstud brooch dating c. AD 75-200 and corresponding to Mackreth headstud type 5. On the outer surface, short stepped wings lie at either side of the head which is adorned with a cast raised annulet headstud. This annulet may have once been filled with enamel, but this is no longer visible. An incomplete cast copper alloy double-looped buckle of post-medieval date, c. AD 1700-1830. There is a short, sub-triangular protrusion at either end of the central bar. The frame is mostly D-shape in section with bevelled curved surfaces. The reverse is flat and undecorated. The buckle's pin is missing. A Roman worn silver denarius, struck in commemoration of the deified Faustina I under Antoninus Pius, dated to the period AD 141 - 161 (Reece period 7). The obverse shows a draped bust of Faustina the Elder, facing right with hair coiffed and in a low bun behind. The legend reads DIVA FAVSTINA. The reverse depicts Juno veiled, seated right, holding a transverse sceptre. The worn legend reads AVGVSTA. The edge of the coin is worn and nicked. An incomplete cast lead alloy uniface token of late medieval to post-medieval date (c. AD 1400-1800). The token is discoid with a slightly uneven circumference. The design on its decorated obverse face is a six-spoked cartwheel with pellets on three of the spokes, which corresponds to Powell type 3c. Near to the other end, there appears to be a constriction of the shaft with an indentation or blind hole on one side; whether this is accidental damage or deliberately manufactured as a way to retain the stylus in some holder is unclear. A complete cast reverse clay die for a trade token of post-medieval date, c. AD 1666-1668. The lettering on the cenre of the stamp face reads, in reverse, 'His Half Peny' with three pellets below. The inscription around the circumference is worn and difficult to decipher, but may possibly read 'James Dutton 1666, Chesterfield', or 'Thomas Brooks 1668, Derby' as in Thompson 1984, Plate XXV, nos. 581 and 587. The latter possibility is the more likely as the die was found in Derby. Diameter: 17.5 mm, Thickness: 3.9 mm and weight 6.87 g.
