A cast lead spindle whorl of Medieval or Post-Medieval date, about AD 1100 - 1600. It is bi-conical, with a large, central perforation of internal diameter 9mm. It has a broad median ridge. There are traces of a possible moulded design of radiating lines on both faces. The whorl is 23.1mm in diameter and 10.3mm thick. It weighs 18.7g. It is of Walton Rogers form C2. Though C2 whorls are known from the iron Age onwards, the large central perforation and decoration suggests a date from AD 1100 onwards.

Three copper alloy vessel fragments, of unknown date, AD 43 - 1800. The three pieces do not join. They are all of uniform thickness, about 1.5mm - 2mm thick. The surfaces are smooth and plain. The edges are breaks, with varying degrees of patination. It is possible some parts of the largest fragment are the original edge. The large fragment is strongly curved in plan and profile (where the curves encompasses about 90 degrees) and may be from the out-turned mouth of a narrow necked jug or a similar vessel, or alternatively, the hollow base of a candlestick or other vessel foot. A cast lead weight of Post Medieval date, about AD 1600 - 1900. It is a pan type weight, flat on the underside and dished on the upper face with a high, broad rounded rim. The centre of the dished area is marked with a now indecipherable, punched mark, possibly a rose, surrounded by a double circle of narrow grooves. There is a further double groove running around the weight immediately within the raised border. Four deep indentations were probably to mark that the weight was intended as a 4oz weight. On the reverse are four faint scratched lines, probably for the same p…

A sherd of a probably Roman ceramic vessel dating from AD 43 - 410, but a Medieval date cannot be entirely ruled out. It is a wall sherd with no original edges. The fabric is fairly hard and is grey in the core and buff on the surfaces due to differential oxidisation. The breaks are worn, but the texture appears to be irregular to laminated. The fabric is gritty with frequent poorly sorted angular quartz inclusions, and occasional larger red grog pieces. Measurements are; length 51.9mm, width 72.1mm, thickness 48.6mm and weight 53.81g.
