A complete probable miscast and/or unfinished copper-alloy catch piece sleeve clasp of C6th date. Consisting of a rectangular bar with a rectangular catch element projecting from the centre of othe front edge. The object appears to have been made in a two-piece mould, and there are casting flashes of metal surviving which in a finished object would have been filed away. A complete lead discoidal spindle whorl of Early Medieval to Medieval date (AD 700-1100). The spindle whorl is circular in plan and has a sub-rectangular cross section. It fits into the Walton Rogers classification form B. The central hole is circular with an internal diameter of 9.5mm. No decoration is present on either side.  The whorl is cream in colour, with an even surface patina. An incomplete Early Medieval copper-alloy ansate brooch dating to circa AD 700-1000. Cast in one piece it consists of two flat discoidal terminals at either end. One terminal appears to have been slightly miscast with a circular protrusion projecting from one edge. The bow has a triangular-section and is curved in profile. An early medieval (Anglo-Saxon) cast copper alloy saucer brooch, dating to c. AD.450-550. The front of the brooch is dished, with an angular and upturned rim around; this is incomplete on one side. The front of the brooch is decorated with a five pointed star pattern formed by double-ridged concave arcs enclosed by an engraved concentric line around a small central boss. There is no trace of gilding. The reverse has an in-line hinge lug and catchplate. There is extensive deposition of iron corrosion products around the hinge lug from a now lost iron spring and pin.

Copper alloy buckle. A massy cast D-shaped buckle with an expanded and thickened textured outer edge with a broad grooved collar towards either end and a narrowed strap bar whose ends are grasped by biting beast heads; the centre of the strap bar is notched to receive a pin [lost]. This is a somewhat massier version of a buckle form usually ascribed to the 11th century. A wider date range is offered with deference to its atypical features.
