Lead alloy harness boss. Cast circular openwork plate with a flat rim and a concavo-convex protruding boss. The border bears vegetal swags and pellets and the boss bears a fleur de lis within a cabled basal border. Traces of white metal plating appear and rust stains suggest the object was attached to tack by iron fixing pins. Probably for the festive decoration of horse harness. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1800-1900

A gilded late Medieval to early post Medieval finger ring that has been broken and later repaired, with a thin gilded copper alloy band soldered to the inside of the bezel. The earlier ring has a rounded bezel with a raised cast decoration consisting of a series of oblique lines radiating from the centre of the bezel to its edges, giving the impression of a sunburst or a star.
