An unidentified object which is a possible fragment from a lead vessel or pot of uncertain date. The fragment is irregular but broadly triangulat in shape and sub oval in plan. One surface is convex and the other slightly convex. It is slightly thicker at one end, with old and worn breaks on the non "rim" sides. It is formed from a long curved rod, circular in cross-section and becoming narrower towards each end, which terminates in a blunt point, one of which terminates in an old break.  Projecting from the centre of the upper edge is a flattened sub-circular loop, which is circular in cross-section. A complete Medieval cast silver-gilt finger ring, of stirrup style, and dating to c.AD.1150-1500. Description: The object is stirrup shaped, with a sub-circular hoop rising to a triangular bezel. In cross-section the hoop is D-shaped and is uninscribed. The bezel has an integrally cast silver boss, in place and in imitation of a gem setting.
