An incomplete, uninscribed Western British Iron Age silver unit, dating likely from AD 20-45. Primarily made from copper alloy but with silver plating. The coin is of a type produced in the late Iron Age period in the area of modern Gloucestershire, western Oxfordshire, and parts of Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Berkshire, Wiltshire, and Somerset. The Dobunni inhabited a similar area in the early Roman period, thus making it likely that they minted the coin. Obverse: head right. Reverse: stylised horse left. Diameter: 15mm. Thickness: 1mm.
