A complete Late Iron Age gold stater of the Western Region / Dobunni, dating from c. AD 20-43. The coin is struck for the ruler Eisu, and appears to be a variant of both ABC 2075 (Cottam et al's 'Eisu Ricu') and ABC 2078 (Cottam et al's 'Eisu Tree'). The style of the horse suggests it maybe ABC 2078, which is a more common issue than ABC 2075.

A worn Iron Age silver unit of the Western Region Dobunni tribe dating to the period c. 60-25 BC. The coin is a variant of the 'Cotswold Eagle' type, with an obverse head similar to Cottam's (2010:104) Head Type D. The cross motif on the reverse of the coin under the horse's body is derivied from a cock's head, however this example does appear a later style than is usually seen on most Cotswold Eagle issues. cf. ABC 2021.

A worn British Iron Age uninscribed silver unit, Western (Dobunni) type, Cottam's (2010) 'Cotswold Crosses' type. "Dobunnic IJ" series, perhaps c. AD 20-50. Interestingly the obverse of this example depicts a stylised head facing left, not facing right as the ABC (Cottam et al 2010) example does, and the two other examples recorded on this database (FAPJW-1533E5 and NARC1166). ABC 2036 = VA 1135 = BMC 3003.
