An Iron Age cast copper alloy potin probably a Gallo-Belgic potin of the Suessiones, c.60-20 BC, 'Soissons Eye Boar' type. Obverse may depict a horse but is damaged and unclear. Reverse depicts an oval of pellets with a crescent below one side of the pellets and above a further line of diagonal lines, possily an eye-and-boar motif. Possibly, ABC p 31, no 85.

A complete Iron Age potin of Continental/Belgic import from the Soissons region, c. 60-20 BC. Obverse: profile bust right with bow before. Reverse: boar with pellet-in-annulet and arc of pellets below, possibly depicting a neck torc. Ancient British Coins No 85; BMC Celtic Coins III, 444-447; Delestree and Tache I, 530-531A. SUSS-691646 is another, although incomplete, example found in Sussex.

The coin appears to be a variant of ABC 85, A Suessiones Eye Boar cast copper-alloy unit, of an unknown ruler.
Obverse: Head right
Reverse: Eye-and -Boar motif, neck torc and pellets below.
Measurements: Diameter: 19.46mm, thickness: 2.59mm, weight: 2.29g.
