A continental (Gallic) Iron Age cast bronze unit or potin, probably of the Suessiones, dating to the period c.60-52 BC, Confronted animals type. Obverse: Two confronted goats, a pellet in ring between their heads, within a beaded border. Reverse: A confronted wolf and boar, a pellet in ring between them, within a beaded border. A complete Iron Age potin of Continental/Belgic import from the Soissons region, c. 60-20 BC. Obverse: profile bust right with bow before. Reverse: boar with pellet-in-annulet and arc of pellets below, possibly depicting a neck torc. Ancient British Coins No 85; BMC Celtic Coins III, 444-447; Delestree and Tache I, 530-531A. SUSS-691646 is another, although incomplete, example found in Sussex.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy Late Iron Age Gallo-Belgic (Belgium and northeast France) unit or potin of the Suessiones tribe (north-east of Paris) ; Cottam et al.'s 'Soissons Eye Boar' type. dating from c.60 - 20 BC (ABC 85). The potin is in very good condition and shows very little wear, however one corner of the coin is broken and missing. The die differs to that illustrated in Cottam et. al. (2010; no. 85). This is listed as an extremely rare coin for Britain, but are more common on the Continent.
