Bronze Age copper alloy socketed axe collar fragment, 22mm in length, 20mm wide and 4mm thick with a weight of 6.08grams. The object is sub rectangular in form and cross section and has a curved profile. Its complete edge has a rounded D shaped cross sectioned collar on the outer surface, 2mm thhick and wide. Below this is a narrow linear depression. There is a second rounded collar 4mm wide, 11mm in from the first. To the left of the object (as shown) is a distinct casting seam running the length of the fragment.

Medieval to post medieval lead alloy boy bishop token, 15mm in diameter with a weight of 2.12grams. The obverse depicts a mitre in a solid border with an inscription. The reverse has a long cross and pellets in each quarter with an incription mimicking a sterling penny. During medieval winter solistices it became a Christian tradition for each town to elect a Boy Bishop whom was paraded around on processions. In the processions, lead tokens were handed out to the crowd to celebrate the event. This is based on the Roman celebration 'Feast of Saturnalia' which was where society …

Post medieval copper alloy button, 10mm in length and 20mm in diameter with a weight of 3.03grams. The button is circular in form and rectangular in cross section and has a rectangular shaped and cross sectioned loop with a circular hole. The button is decorated with a stamped linear motif in the form of a cross with oval, petal like motifs in each quarter. The button is similar to fig.8.4, page 31 in Bailey, G. 'Buttons and fastener's, which he dates to 17th century.

Late medieval to post medieval copper alloy French jetton. The obverse depcits four fleurs de lis in a lozenge within a tressure of four arches, and the reverse depicts a simple cross pattee in the field with flowers in each quarter. These jettons were struck mainly in Tournai during the reign of Louis XII (1497-1515) but also struck during the reign of Francis I (1515-1547) up to the year 1521 when Tournai was occupied by Charles V. The obverse compares well with Mitchiner 726a. Cf. Mitchiner, 1988, pp.236-238, no.726a. For a similar example see CORN-0881BE.

Medieval copper alloy buckle plate, 22mm in length, 12mm wide and 1mm thick with a weight of 1.50grams. The object is sub rectangular in form and rectangular in cross section. It consists of a sheet which is wider at one short end and this houses a semi-circular recess to accomodate the buckle pin. Behind this are two circular holes, one with an intact rivet, 5mm long and 2mm in diameter. A third rivet sits at the opposite end, centrally positioned. The upper surface appears to have a slight recessed border, now only evident as the patches of gilding which remain stop at it.

Roman copper alloy finger-ring or 'key-ring' bit dating to c AD 250-300 (Guiraud type 5), The bit comprises a cyclindrical, hollow shank which has a sub-rectangular shaped and cross sectioned 'bit' attached. This has a 'squared off S-shape' with a short shaft emerging from the shank then turning at right angles three times (left, right, left). The outer edge (sitting parallel to the shank) has four very worn small incisions along its length. The ring is very similar to WILT-F6D8BA and of a similar type to YORYM-34F534, LIN-62B3A4 and various other examples.

The object has a rectangular shaped and cross sectioned shaft, 15mm long, 4mm wide and 3mm thick, which tapers in width and appears to have a broken end? Above this is a semi-circular solid terminal, 10mm in diameter. The object is very similar to a buttons illustrated in Bailey, G. Buttons and Fasteners, p.23, fig 7.4 and p.29, fig.7.43, but as it has no loop it may be a stud.

Medieval? copper alloy finger ring, 27mm in length, 12mm wide (at Bezel), 2mm thick with a weight of 4.51grams. The ring is probably complete, but the loop is broken. It has a sub rectangular (possible hexagonal?) shaped and cross sectioned bezel, 4mm deep. It has an oval shaped recess/hole in its upper surface, 12mm long, and possible raised lines radiating from the edge of this to the corners of the bezel. Its loop is tapered and widens out to form a collar, 6mm from the edge of the bezel. From this point it is plain, 2mm wide and 1mm thick and has a rectangular cross section.

It consists of open semi-circular cross sectioned wings which contain half a spring of 3 coils. The upper bow, decorated with three ridges, is rectangular in cross section and emerges from the wings, curving back on its self to form a C shape. Roman copper alloy Colchester derivative, double pierced lug, Harlow type brooch, 43mm in length, 22mm wide and 10mm thick with a weight of 8.04grams. The brooch has short, open, semi-circular cross sectioned wings which are decorated on each side with three rounded ridges. The bow is triangular in cross section, having a flat reverse and a steep central ridge, which forms a crest over the wings and terminates in a now incomplete suspension loop. It has a large triangular shaped catchplate which terminates in a flat base. The brooch is missing its spring and pin.

The spring is held in place by a central semi-circular suspension loop which sits at the top of a linear ridge running down the centre of the flat rectangular shaped and cross sectioned bow. This is incomplete missing its catchplate and pin.
