A pierced post-medieval copper-alloy farthing of Charles I (1625-1649). Rose Type 2 (North 2291). Initial mark: unclear, dating to 1636-1644. Mint of London. North (1975, 140). It measures 13.52mm in diameter and 0.84mm in thickness; it weighs 0.54g. It now has a sub-square flan, and has been pierced, possibly for re-use as jewellery. The piercing is located at about 11 o'clock on the obverse, corresponding to about 1 o'clock on the reverse.
